SPF, DKIM and DMARC for Zoho Mail: the exact records

Reviewed

Short answer

For Zoho Mail, publish one SPF TXT record — v=spf1 include:zohomail.com ~all — at your domain, turn on DKIM in Zoho Mail and publish the record it gives you (selector zmail, zoho), then add a DMARC TXT record named _dmarc, starting with v=DMARC1; p=none; rua=mailto:you@yourdomain.com and moving to p=quarantine once reports are clean.

Check your domain now

1. SPF

Add (or edit) the single TXT record at your domain root that starts with v=spf1 so it reads: v=spf1 include:zohomail.com ~all

If your account is on zoho.eu, use include:zohomail.eu instead.

2. DKIM

In the Zoho Mail admin console, open Domains → your domain → Email configuration → DKIM, add a selector, copy the TXT record into your DNS and verify it.

Zoho’s SPF include depends on your data centre: zohomail.com for accounts on zoho.com, zohomail.eu for accounts on zoho.eu. The check picks the right one from your MX records.

3. DMARC

Add a TXT record named _dmarc with v=DMARC1; p=none; rua=mailto:you@yourdomain.com, using a mailbox that exists. Read the daily reports for two to four weeks, then change p=none to p=quarantine so forged mail goes to spam.
